On November 1, 2016, Ellsworth “EJ” Jackson of Jackson Limousine, the beloved southland business man who brought the Annual Turkey Give-Away to the city of Los Angeles for almost 30 years has passed away, he was just 66 years of age. Jackson Limousine has been a quality staple limo service representing LA and neighboring communities within the entertainment industry, providing luxurious logistics, as well as providing luxury transportation to many special events spanning over three decades, and the man behind it all was EJ Jackson, founder and president of Jackson Limousine Service including the Jackson Foundation.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text lead=”yes” font_weight=”bold”]However EJ’s philanthropic efforts will never go unnoticed, it has and forever will be, an enjoyous momentous occasion during the Thanksgiving holiday, and his generous efforts with the annual Turkey Give-Away will still fulfill the needs of families throughout LA, no doubt for years to come.
EJ has given tens of thousands of Turkey dinners away to needy families for Thanksgiving over the years, and brought smiles to tens of thousands of families with the help of his friends, such as Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Former Congresswoman Diane E. Watson, Former Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa, Former Police Chief and LA City Councilman Bernard C. Parks, brands and others, to assist those who would not otherwise have a feast eat on this Thankful Holiday.
This man’s heart was tremendous, however on November 1st 2016 his physical heart failed, he died of an apparent heart attack. And even though he is unfortunately no longer with us, his spirit lives on, and is strong, and is absolutely awesome, and oh so overwhelmingly inspiring. The Jackson Limousine Annual Turkey Give Away is slated to be held on November, 22 2016 at 3669 W. Slauson Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90043 between Hillcrest & Deane in South Central LA… Come and eat and celebrate the memory of this great friend of the community. EJ’ will be missed dearly. EJ Jackson’s funeral services were reported to be attended by as many as 1,000 close family and friends. God Bless and remember the formula, Entertainment Equals Diversity. Rest In Peace EJ Jackson of Jackson Limousine. He Did Something Great for the Los Angeles Community!”

It is most important for us to remember EJ’s message, that no matter how successful we may become, it is necessary to give back to the community. It is also important to understand this message in these days and times, especially with many disappointed with the Presidential Debates as well as the outcome of the recent Presidential election. It’s not about money and politics, it’s about people. EJ knew just that and from all those happy faces and satisfied palates, we can still feel the love he had for our great city of Los Angeles.
Our heart go out to EJ’s family and dearest friends, in this time of grieving, but do not despair, all is not lost, because his spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all those he fed through his Non-Profit organization, and his spirit will continue to feed those in need, as well as to those who he provided excellent quality limousine service to and from destinations and locations, utilized by many within the entertainment industry, and all that relied on Jackson limo’s quality service to get them there. This is the stuff that is worth a lifetime, and he will always be cherished as a community business man, leader, mentor and most of a friend to South Central Los Angeles.
