Google confirmed Jan. 29, 2014,
that it is selling Motorola Mobility to Lenovo for $2.91 billion, pending regulatory approval. News of the sale was first reported by China Daily earlier on Jan. 29. Google first announced its acquisition of Motorola Mobility in August 2011 for $12.5 billion. The deal closed in May 2012.
