The Second Assistant Director (2nd AD) supports the First Assistant Director by coordinating cast calls, movement, paperwork, background activity, production information, and communication between the set and base camp or production office. The 2nd AD commonly prepares or helps prepare the daily call sheet from information supplied by production and the AD team.
