DEFINITION

A content management system (CMS), is utilized to build websites in a simpler fashion from the earlier days of the internet, in layman’s terms CMS is a computer application software that allows publishing, editing, modifying, organizing, deleting, and maintaining content from a central user interface. The most common CMS for web designers are WordPress.org, Joomla!, Drupal, ExpressionEngine, Concrete5,  Textpattern, Magento, Radiant CMS and the list goes on. Whatever  CMS  you chose, it is a cost-effective and manageable way to build a website within the 21st Century.
