A Cinematographer, also called the Director of Photography (DP), is the department head responsible for the photographic and visual execution of a film, television program, commercial, or other screen production. Working with the Director, the DP makes decisions about camera, lenses, framing, exposure, movement, and lighting approach, and collaborates closely with the camera, grip, and electrical departments.
