It’s not to say that Television will go away, not at all, it’s just changing and the Executives are not. Just like the internet revolutionized the Music Industry, it’s doing the same thing to TV and Motion Pictures. If Television Executives keep neglecting the needs of Today’s brand new audience , then their ultimate ROI (Return on Investment) will surly meet its untimely demise, however adversity begets opportunity, for all the Producers who have Pilots rejected by the Networks that are locked in vaults forever to be seen by no one. The mass appeal will forever know that Arsenio is, and always will be ultimately responsible for giving a plethora of Artists their first Big Break , now it’s time for us as a Society to collectively give him his… Let’s just hope that no matter what moves Arsenio Hall makes, he is back on the air for good, and let his true audience decide his retirement plan.

This is a must read, on why the Arsenio Hall Show was cancelled, in today’s TV market it’s a tough row to tow if you have low ratings, then no matter how loyal your fans are, you are subject to cancellation. But let’s focus on a solution. One: He could partner with his buddy Magic Johnson over at ASPiRE TV, his new Television Network. They’re just itching for new content, it could also aid in their efforts for getting deals with cable providers, since the network is not seen by a lot of viewers. Two: Arsenio can start up his own Show on YouTube or start a Web Series, sure he would need to have investors, which he has powerful and devoted friends, or he could do it low budget out of his own pocket, and leverage the shows hits on the web while slowly making his own money back. In time the Show would gain traction and the networks would be looking at him again. This time Arsenio would have the power to call his own shots, and have a deal on the table based off of the popularity of the internet. In this day and age the old Television ratings system needs to go, or receive a complete overhaul because it doesn’t add the internet into the mix. The Nielsen Ratings are not true numbers, it is at best a very rough estimate on what viewers are watching. What we tend to think is most of today’s Society is now on the internet more than their TV sets. Now you have internet browsers on a Smart TVs, do something crazy and folks are Tweeting and Re-Tweeting, then they post a photo or 15 second Vid on instagram, Like It on Facebook, Pin it on Pinterest and the list goes on, what will they think of next ?
