Lions, Tigers and Crocs Oh My!” Terri Irwin is the widow of the late great Australian Animal lover and Zoo Keeper Steve Irwin, who passed away due to a fatal stingray incident to the heart, on September 4, 2006. However, the sprint of Steve Irwin still lives through his wife and children Bindi Irwin who recently got married to her long time boyfriend Chandler Powell, and her brother Robert Clarence Irwin, who still represents their rich family heritage, promoting animal safety.
Terri was born in America Oregon, USA, but through her late husband, Steve she became an Australian ambassador and part owner of Australian Zoo. But years ago before her late husband’s untimely demise, Terri Irwin made a trip to Los Angeles, California and instead of making a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo, she made a visit to Century City Mall now called Westfield Century City to sign autographs.
This in-store promotion was for Animal Planet at the Discovery Store, located at the Century City Mall long before Westfield took over. Since then, the Discovery Store has shifted their focus to more digital content online, developing a web only business model, never returning to retail brick and mortar locations.
From the moment of being in her presence, Terri Irwin’s love of Steve and the animals was apparent, signing her autograph Crocs Rule! Just as her late husband would do, as she continues to spread his message about the animals. Let’s just hope that Terri will still return to the new Westfield Century City and grace us with her presence, reminding us what beautiful animals are among us as well as down under. The couple also were proud owners of the Australia Zoo, which was already in the famous family’s heritage. Steve Irwin died at the tender age of 44, stabbed in the heart by a Stingray. But his children were his heart, and he has certainly done a great job raising them to be the very best they could be.
