Executive Producer

DEFINITION

An Executive Producer is a senior producer credit whose responsibilities vary by project. Depending on the production, an Executive Producer may help secure financing, package talent, control or represent underlying rights, develop the project, supervise other producers, represent a studio or network, manage key business relationships, or provide high-level creative and strategic oversight. The title does not automatically mean the person runs day-to-day set operations, and its exact meaning depends on the production and contractual structure.
