In film and television, a Breakdown is an organized analysis of source material used to identify what a production or casting process requires. A script breakdown identifies elements such as cast, props, wardrobe, vehicles, locations, effects, and special requirements for scheduling and budgeting. A casting breakdown describes roles and submission requirements so performers or representatives can be considered for casting.
