A TV Pilot is an episode or presentation produced to demonstrate the concept, characters, tone, format, and production approach of a proposed television series. A pilot may be used by a network, studio, streamer, producer, or financier to evaluate whether the project should proceed to series, although not every series begins with a traditionally produced pilot.
