The Creative Artists Agency (CAA), is one of the most prestigious Talent Agencies out there…Their list of clients are very extensive, however the most talented Actors do not start at the top. They start at small boutique Talent Agencies and if the Actor does not Book a job, then that Actor has a possibility of getting put on the back burner so to speak. So if you are an aspiring Actor without an Agent, the best advice is to book a job with Casting and then Agents will tend to take you on as a client, to keep them, you must keep booking jobs, because if you don’t, they will not make any money. They are only allowed to take 10% of your gross earnings so if you don’t book, they will tend to drop you. Thus the 10 percent rule… Remember this is called Show-Business so be mindful to treat it as such.
