Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The 7th installment of this exciting story is slated for December of 2015, and it promises to satisfy all Star Wars fans, which is why this movie is most anticipated by the audience. The  teaser is possibly the most famous teaser of all time and one thing comes to mind when viewing it, is we will finally get back to the basics. This film will have GGI ,(Computer Generated Imagery), however it won’t look that way. It promises to be reminiscent of the first three films. That would be parts: 4. A New Hope, 5. Empire Strikes Back , and 6, Return of The Jedi, in Star Wars lineage so to speak. True Star Wars fans appreciate the way George Lucas made these first three films in a way that enhanced the story. The last three films, which of course is the first order of the saga: 1. The Phantom Menace, 2. Attack of the Clones, and 3. Revenge of the Sith are all absolutely amazing, however with over the top special effects and CGIYet possibly distracting the story telling of this fabulous epic saga. Also introducing many more interesting, controversial, and exciting characters that we grew to love or hate. But now with Disney at the helm of Producing, as well as Lucasfilm, we can finally get a chance to witness history with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Directed by J. J. Abrams of Bad Robot Productions, who is most famous for the Star Trek reboots,  is now responsible the cinematic storytelling of Star Wars, which includes characters from the first three films, Han Solo, Luke and Leia many years after Return of The Jedi. We cannot wait, and will probably see it at least 4 times, in Imax, in 2D, if they possibly release it 3D, and of course  Imax 3D. This year get ready for an adventure, and May the Force Be With You!

Furious 7

Is the much anticipated of the Fast & Furious film franchise, and not only for the film’s Picture Cars. With the untimely and non-coincidental death of actor Paul Walker in a car crash last year, this action packed sequel is sure to pay homage to the film’s star. The film’s co-star Tyrese Gibson has posted many kind thoughts, words, and memories about his friend over the past year, and this missing of a loved one is witnessed by millions. One line by Vin Diesel in the new film echoes real life, ” I don’t have friends.  I have family. ” Which is what they are and forever will be, in life or death…Slated to premier at a theater near you in April 2015, distributed by Universal Pictures, Furious 7 promises to be the best yet, transcending tragic real life events, with the majority of the cast you grew to love returning, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. But now there is a new villain to defeat, played by action star Jason Statham. Let’s hope the adventure never ends, and the loving memory of Paul Walker never dies. Fast and Furious 4 life!

Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron

Is the sequel to The Avengers film with a Marvel Studios & Disney hybrid distribution ensemble. This movie is one of the most anticipated films in the Superhero film genre since the first film’s premier, which is truly an audience’s dream for 2015. Avengers 2 promises more action packed adventure of the Marvel team of Superheroes.  This time the villain is not Loki, for those who favor his antics, but the team attempts to aviod the evil demise of Ultron, an artificial intelligence creation of none other than Toney Stark. Let’s just hope the sequel can come close to the first film, and if it does were in for a real treat… Whatever happens, we’re sure to see Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s version of Hulk go at it once again, with their friendly rival repartee, laugh out loud. The release of the film is slated for May 1st 2015, in 3D and Imax3D. Additionally, two more films will echo the true rollercoaster ride of the Marvel universe, due out for the summer’s of 2018 and 2019, so fasten your safety belts, it’s going to be a enjoyable ride for a few years!

Jurassic World

Is the fourth sequel to the Jurassic Park franchise with Steven Spielberg as Executive Producer. The film was reportedly pushed back several years for rewrites. As the old adage goes, scripts are written, and then rewritten. Thus, one of movies most anticipated for over a decade long waiting period. Let’s hope this film meets everyone’s expatiations. Sequels and reboots are a trend in Hollywood, with the reinvention in 3D and Imax 3D technology, one would like to think that screenwriters and filmmakers are also creating new and unique films for the audience…

But for now let’s revisit those gigantic Dinosaurs from a prehistoric time in a modern setting, but this time she’s very angry, in this world of Jurassic. In this case, Jurassic World is slated for June of 2015. Get your popcorn ready! We like ours with lots of butter!

Terminator: Genisys

This movie most anticipated features the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger, former bodybuilder and 38th Governor of California.  This is where he gets the nickname the Governator no doubt, because he is responsible for the success of the first three original Terminator films, which of course also gives credit to James Cameron for writing and Directing the first two motion pictures. Terminator Genisys however, is Directed by Alan Taylor and Produced by David Ellison & Dana Goldberg, with Paramount Pictures Distribution and Skydance Productions as the Production Company respectfully…The story is a reboot, sequel,  prequel so to speak, kind of like a mashed up version of the original classic. With new filmmaking technology more advanced than that of the first original films, it will be the filmmakers challenge not to over do it. Let’s just hope that Arnold can still captivate the audience with his his famous one liners like “I’ll Be Back”. Then Skynet will not have a chance.  Can someone pass the Goobers please!?

Mad Max: Fury Road

This final entry of movies most anticipated is the forth sequel of the Mad Max film franchise. The original three stared Mel Gibson before he fell from graces so to speak, as not to create a Mel Gibson bashing; we actually like the guy for the classic Mad Max films. However this film is a reboot with an entirely different actor staring Tom Hardy, his most memorable role, or not so memorable because he wore a mask, was as Bane in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and the film Inception. However Mad Max: Fury Road promises to be as action pact as the first three films in this post-apocalyptic fiction series. Directed, Produced and Co-written by George Miller of the original three movies, this film is 25 years in the making. Hopefully the time spent on the shelf was not in vain…The trailer looks great, with the feeling they utilized CGI technology, however keeping the integrity of the movie’s theme intact, which creates a synergy between story and true cinematic virtue. With a $150 million dollar film budget, distributed by Warner Bros., and Village Roadshow Pictures as the Production Company, look for this film to premier at a theater near you in May of 2015. This time we want the hotdog and popcorn… Just simple pleasures for the Audience to dream in 2015!
